To say that this update is past due is an understatement!!! We have been very actively involved in ministry for the past few months....well...the past few years!! Mid-South Love Home will be 3 years old in April. That is amazing to me! God is so good and so faithful and I am humbly honored that He chose to use my family and me and so many of you to do HIS work on this earth...specifically here in the mid-south!
This post is going to be pretty long with lots of pictures so I hope you will hang in there with me! I am trying to figure out where to start! To date, we have housed 13 girls and have had 3 commuters. We have been able to bless many people connected to these 16 girls in a variety of ways, but primarily with clothes, furniture, and household items. We have had 15 babies, 1 stillborn, and are still expecting 3. Our family has grown numerically, but we have experienced the most growth spiritually. We have been blessed to lead 2 of the girls to Christ while most of the others are professing believers. We have seen many of them go deeper with Him and that has been amazing. There are a couple we are still praying for and believing that God will become real and priority to them in His perfect timing!!! We are forever grateful to the hundreds of people who have supported us financially and through donations of various kinds! We have enjoyed our partnerships with many local church bodies and know that it takes all of us working together to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven!!! I hope you enjoy seeing the fruits of your labors and sacrifices as you look at these pictures and hear stories. Know that this is your ministry!!!
Ephesians 4:28 says, "He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need."
This verse makes it very clear that God's purpose in us working with our hands and making a "living" is so that we can share with those who have needs! It is so easy for us to be focused on our family and living the life we want to live that we forget to heed this command! Labor. Work. Earn a wage. Why? So that we will have something to share with those in need!!!! May we never forget that there are SO MANY people in need! Memphis/Desoto County/the Mid-South has plenty of resources to take care of all the people who live here. So why is there so much poverty and need?!?! I believe it is because many people hold tightly to their money instead of sharing it!!! May we all hold our possessions with an opened hand and listen to the Spirit as He leads us to share it with others!!! Mid-South Love Home constantly needs supporters! We know that this is HIS ministry and He will continue to provide for all our needs! If He leads, please consider joining our ministry team if you are looking for a place to share what you have been blessed with!!!!

This beautiful snow bunny is growing so fast and is doing FANTASTIC!!!! Although she lives out of town with her adoptive family, I am blessed to get LOTS of updates, pictures, and videos. I also got to see her when she game in town. Her birth mother also got to see her and hold her. It was quite a priceless moment!!
We had a very busy December!! We had an amazing Christmas party with almost all of our girls and babies! Then, we got two new girls within a couple of weeks!! Having 3 pregnant girls living with you is VERY INTERESTING...and CHALLENGING!!!!!!!
I was blessed to be in the delivery room with Cynthia when Patience was born! She had to be born via c-section because of preeclampsia.

This is literally a "snapshot" view of what has been going on at the Love Home! We have talked to several other young women who were not able to come for various reasons but we are thankful that we got to meet them and do what we were able. I believe I will be adding another commuter within the next couple of weeks and I am excited about her!!! More info to come!
We know that God's Hand is all over this ministry and that it belongs to Him! We desire to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us. We live to hear Him say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!!!" May all who come behind us find us faithful!
