SEND

Well, here we are at the end of the explanation of our "Game Plan".  The final phase is to SEND.  This is what everything else we do leads up to!  As we REACH, CONNECT, and EQUIP, the goal in sight is to prepare each young woman to be SENT.  The young women can come to MSLH at any point in their pregnancies, although we desire to get them in the first two trimesters.  We want to have as long as possible to shepherd and love on each woman and prepare her to be SENT.  We want each woman to be well on her way to becoming an independent, contributing member of society when she leaves the Love Home.  Depending on the decision of each woman, she can stay up to 6 weeks after the baby is born if she is choosing to keep the baby.  If she chooses to put the baby up for adoption, she will leave shortly after delivery.

This should be an exciting stage of our "Game Plan".  If the woman has done her part in writing a future story and doing the necessary steps to accomplish the goals she has set, then it will be very exciting to SEND her!  As parents, we do not raise our children hoping that they will live with us their entire lives.  We raise them to launch them!  Everything we do while they are growing up is to prepare them to be an independent adult.  When we launch them, we receive much joy as we watch them soar!  We also cry with them and for them when they fail, but we always encourage them to get back up and keep trying!  In the same way, the Love Home desires to help these girls soar when it is time for them to leave.  Everything we do for them will be in hopes of preparing them for the launch back into "the real world"!!

If a mother chooses to keep her baby, we want to SEND her with a "To Go Box".  In this box (suitcase or duffle bag, etc.) we want to give each mother 4 outfits, 4 sleepers, and socks for each size that her baby will probably need for the first year of his/her life.  We also want to include some blankets, bibs, and diapers.  We want to make sure that, as she gets her feet under her, one thing she will not have to worry about for a little while is clothes for her baby.  My desire is for these items to be brand new.  Therefore, we will need to collect new baby clothes, blankets, bibs, diapers, etc. in each of those smaller sizes (0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, and 12-15 months) to have on hand when it is time to put together a "To Go Box".  We will need clothes for all seasons.  We also will need some cute suitcases, bags, etc. to use as the "box".   If we are in low supply as the need arises, we will be sending word out for donations.  Please stay in touch with us and help as God leads you to!

It has been fun sharing this aspect of the vision with you.  Like I have said and will continue to say, we cannot foresee every situation, need, problem, etc.  We are taking one step at a time as God leads us in HIS ministry!  Please pray for us every time God brings us to mind!  Please pray for the girls He will send us!  Please pray for the supplying of resources we will need!  Please pray for the many, many volunteers who will help with this ministry!  Please pray that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of each and every girl's heart that she may accept Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior!
