A Sad Day

Today was a sad day.  Kristie delivered a 10 oz baby boy around 3:00 pm.  It was a surprise to all of us that the baby was a boy.  She named him after her father.  It was very emotionally draining for her.  However, I was thrilled when she told me that she is willingly checking herself into a drug rehab program as soon as she gets out of the hospital.  She is ready to get her life on a different path and allow this very sad circumstance to be used by God to change her life.  Please pray for her!!  She is still a very sick girl and starting tonight, they are focusing on getting her well!!

Ayanna spent the day at the Med (Regional One) and I was certain she was going to have her baby today!  She woke up this morning with a bad headache, seeing spots, and vomiting.  All of that sounded just like preeclampsia to me and it scared me!  My experience with Jakira and Micah caused me to pray, pray, pray as I was driving her to the hospital.  Her blood pressure was high and her pressure and the baby's fluctuated with contractions.  She was having contractions, but they weren't making her progress so they sent her home!  We were disappointed.  We are praying that her water breaks SOON!!!

My other resident had an ultrasound today and her Itty Bitty is weighing in at 3 1/2 pounds and is doing great!!!  She will be 30 weeks tomorrow so the 10, 9, 8, etc. countdown will begin!!!

We are excited that God is using the ministry of Mid-South Love Home!  We are honored by all who support and pray for this ministry!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
